      "Renewable Energy Array"
Credit Program for K-12 Science Educators

Teachers: Recharge your students and Power Up your science courses with
the latest information on renewable energy technologies and applications.

Northern Arizona University and the Arizona Alliance for Mathematics,
Science & Technology Education are developing a new program for science
teachers to integrate renewable energy curriculum into the classroom. This
program is being developed in coordination with the Southwest Renewable
      Energy Fair.

Course work will be done at the Southwest Renewable Energy Fair August 8-10
on the Northern Arizona University campus in Flagstaff, Arizona. Fifteen
contact hours will be required for the NAU science credit. You'll attend
renewable energy presentations, workshops, tours, curriculum integration
sessions, and the product and technology expo, in addition to observing
interactive solar car and wind turbine workshops for youth. The program
begins at 1 pm Friday, August 8 and concludes at 1 pm Sunday, August 10.

The fee for the "Renewable Energy Array" program is $75 for K-12 Science
Educators. Scholarships are available for teachers supported by the NAU
Environmental Outreach Education Program. Transportation, lodging and meals
are the responsibility of the teacher. NAU dormitory housing will be
available for a nominal fee. For more information about the "Renewable
Energy Array" program, contact Mansel Nelson at NAU at 928.523.1496 or
