Thanks for joining the thousands of educators and students around the country focused on connecting the importance of the environment with STEM learning --Greening STEM. If you haven't already registered for EE Week this year, please do! EE Week 2014 Registration
As part of this year's Greening STEM theme, Engineering a Sustainable World, EE Week will explore the application of engineering to sustainable solutions for a healthier planet and healthier people. Engineering employs math, science and technology to develop sustainable solutions to real-life environmental and other challenges. By incorporating engineering lessons into the other STEM subjects across all grade levels, educators allow students to combine what they've learned in an effort to solve real problems.
Environmental education can provide students with opportunities to engage in meaningful and exciting engineering projects that can spark their interest in STEM and empower them to take part in solutions to local environmental challenges.
