VIRTUAL FIELD TRIP TEACHER WORKSHOPSponsored by:
ASU Astrobiology Program, School of Earth and Space Explorationand the
Arizona Museum of Natural HistoryJoin educators and scientists from Arizona State University and the Arizona Museum of Natural History for a three day intensive workshop dedicated to training educators on a unique new resource for teaching STEM topics: Virtual Field Trips paired with hands-on materials from the Virtual Field Trip sites. Participants will interact with researchers and educators at ASU, gain insight on how to teach with exhibits from museum educators, and experience new cutting edge exhibits and shows. Participating teachers will earn 28 hours of professional development contact hours and have the opportunity to get trained to borrow the ASU STARLAB Portable Planetarium.FOR: Arizona middle and high school science teachers and informal educatorsDATE OF EVENT: June 24-26, 2014PLACE: ISTB4 Building, Arizona State University (Tempe Campus) and the Arizona Museum of Natural HistoryCOST: $75*
