The Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center is the Arizona Game and Fish Department's wildlife rehabilitation center. Each year, the Wildlife Center opens its doors to the public for one weekend only. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24 from 10am to 3pm on both days.

The Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center Open House is your opportunity to learn more about wildlife native to Arizona and other education programs the Arizona Game and Fish Department offers. At the event, you will have the opportunity to see live wildlife displays and presentations.

The event is FREE. Food, drink and merchandise will be for sale. Adobe Mountain is located in north Phoenix. For information about the Adobe Mountain Open House in general, check out the informational flyer located at http://www.azgfd.gov/i_e/ee/documents/adobe2013.pdf.

Do you want to attend the Open House AND earn professional development credits at the same time? This year, the Department is offering 1.5 hour educator workshops during the Open House. The training will consist of a guided tour and a look at relevant education materials. Two sessions are offered each day, one focused on elementary teachers and the other on secondary teachers. A certificate for 1.5 hours of continuing education credits will be provided at the end.

Participation in the educator workshops is free but registration is required. Space is limited. Specific workshop information will be provided to registered participants as the date approaches.

If you wish to register, please visit http://www.azgfd.gov/i_e/ee/workshops/focus_openhouse.shtml.
