      GENERAL SUMMARY

      Provides key role in supporting the instructional program at Envision
      Schools through the design and support of student information and
      assessment. The Knowledge Manager will report to the Chief Academic
      Officer, and work closely with the Director of Instruction and the
      Director of Technology. The position is full-time exempt and is
      located at 185 Berry Street, San Francisco, CA.

      Detailed responsibilities include:

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      •Develop and maintain data architecture to increase the performance,
      reliability and scalability of our schools and school network
      •Develop and support information input and outputs to provide
      flexible, dynamic analysis and reporting to users across all school
      sites, ES support office and external groups as needed
      •Support Student Information System database which includes:
      •Trouble-shooting implementation and technology issues
      •Identifying and developing reports needed by schools and ES support
      office
      •Managing the change process for enhancements
      •Managing the import of any state or school-based standards
      •Managing the data integrity and clean-up with schools
      •Oversee the submission process for state and CREDO reporting
      •Ensuring that student data system best serves the inquiry process for
      each school and the ES support office, including integrating
      assessment results with the SIS
      •Design and support the Envision Schools Intranet with other ES
      support office team members
      •Support the reporting of data and analysis in multiple formats,
      including the consistent and effective use of internal assessments
      across schools and classrooms
      •Design and develop technological solutions for our student graduation
      portfolio process with other ES support office team members
      •Train teachers and ES staff in database and other systems
      •Perform other related duties as required and assigned

      IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
      Required Knowledge, skills & abilities:
      •Demonstrates exceptional quantitative analytical skills
      •Strong verbal, written and graphical communication skills
      •Expert with Excel and data analysis software such as SPSS
      •Demonstrated experience with knowledge management
      •Experience with Student Information Systems and/or web-based applications
      •Able to work effectively in a team
      •Motivated, self-starter who is able to work independently
      •Comfortable with and adaptive to changing priorities, flexible roles,
      start-up environment
      •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      •Minimum Educational level: Bachelor's degree

      Desired Knowledge, skills & abilities:
      •Experience doing requirements and process analysis for technology
      development
      •Experience with analytics or reporting engines (such as Crystal Reports)
      •Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing web-based
      applications with database backend.
      •Demonstrated experience creating a corporate intranet
      •Experience as a classroom teacher
      •Experience in supporting adult learning
      •Advanced degree in assessment or research
      •Experience in school reform

      SALARY AND WORKING CONDITIONS
      Salary: Competitive, with health, sick, and pension benefits
      Work day: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
