      Organization Description
      New Leaders for New Schools is a new, national non-profit dedicated to attracting and preparing a new generation of outstanding leaders for our nation's urban public schools.  New Leaders aggressively recruits extremely talented people to become urban school principals, providing them with rigorous, hands-on leadership training and a yearlong school residency with an outstanding mentor principal. We also help place our graduates in urban public schools, and provide them with ongoing support, networking, and a community of peers after graduation.

      Job Description
      The Director of Recruiting and Admissions has responsibility for all recruiting and admissions processes for New Leaders for New Schools, a critical role in an organization dedicated to attracting and selecting outstanding leaders for the education sector.  Specific responsibilities will include:

      ·             Creating and implementing a national recruiting strategy for both current educators and former teachers.
      ·       Revising and implementing all admissions processes, including the written application and interview process.
      ·       Providing strategic recruiting support to the Executive Directors in each of our program sites, including establishing major education events in each program city.

      ·       Developing and revising all marketing materials for use nationally and in our program cities.
      ·       Analyzing all recruitment data to identify critical trends and guide revision of the recruitment strategy.
      ·       Establishing and maintaining a powerful network of New Leaders graduates across the country.

      Qualifications

      • Strong sales/marketing or human resources skills and experience
      • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
      • Experience in the education sector, or at least a strong familiarity with the challenges faced by teachers and principals
      • Passionate commitment to improving public education and the value of leadership in our nation's public schools
      • Strong organizational skills

      Compensation
