> Position Summary:
> Accountable for managing, tracking, measuring, and reporting on market,
> customer and product data to Marketing, Sales and Exec teams. In addition,
> will oversee execution and success of direct marketing lists. Works in
> conjunction with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement
> marketing strategy and track overall success of strategy.
> Essential Functions:
> 1. Coordinate and track various marketing campaigns for both direct and
> reseller channels .
> 2. Serve as the school channel's market analyst - consistently keeping
> a pulse on the needs of our customers, trends in the industry, changes in
> technology, etc.
> 3. Gather, analyze and distribute customer and market data - including
> analyst reports, customer advisory board input, focus group data, and all
> other related qualitative research.
> 4. Provide direct marketing support for channel marketing and solutions
> marketing, including defining target customers, customer profiles, market
> profiles and direct marketing lists.
> 5. Work in conjunction with marketing firms to develop a marketing
> analysis plan that aligns with our annual goals and promotes a better
> understanding of our customer group and ensures accuracy of market data
> and unique market analysis campaigns.
> 6. Provide all competitive analysis and updates to school channel.
> 7. Handle product price lists and distribution
> 8. Coordinate the measurement and tracking of direct marketing programs
> and channel promotions-work closely with Channel Marketing, Customer
> Support/Operations, Creative Services, and Sales departments, as well as
> outside vendors such as direct response agencies and freelancers.
> 9. Work with Director of Marketing to develop an annual plan for
> continuously assessing our customer needs, perceptions and preferences.
> 10. Some special projects as needed.
> Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
> 1. Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years related experience.
> 2. Database marketing experience
> 2. Ability to manage multiple projects across varying product lines and
> 3. Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
> 4. Dependable follow through and initiative.
> 5. Strong communication and organization skills.
> 6. Knowledge of design and print production process helpful, but not
> 7. Ability to create spreadsheets and other reports using Excel, and
> 8. Ability to work with and manage customer databases
