      About Leadership Public Schools
      Come and join Leadership Public Schools, a not-for-profit school
      development organization based in San Francisco. Our mission is to
      open outstanding, small charter high schools in low-income
      California neighborhoods. You will be part of a dedicated, hard
      working Home Office team that supports two growing and two new
      schools. A number of leading foundations support Leadership Public
      Schools, including the NewSchools Venture Fund, the Pisces

      Job Summary
      We are seeking a full-time administrative assistant to support 3-4
      executives and provide general administrative support to our Home
      Office in San Francisco. This position reports to the Director of
      Operations. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the
      CEO, Mark Kushner, and our board chairman.

      Responsibilities
      CEO and Board Support
      • Schedules and coordinates meetings for the CEO as well as all
      Board and committee meetings.
      • Maintains Board documentation including agendas, resolutions
      and minutes; ensures compliance with Brown Act open meeting
      requirements.
      • Designs, composes and develops written communications,
      presentations and reports.

      Home Office Management
      • Manages office including supplies procurement. Finds cost
      effective systems and sources for ordering and procurement.
      • Organizes and maintains files for the CEO's office and the
      Board of Trustees, and supervises maintenance of general
      organizational files and records.

      Administrative Responsibilities
      • Transcribes minutes of meetings, conferences, and policy-making
      bodies as directed.
      • Receives incoming calls and visitors to the office, and directs
      callers to the appropriate persons.
      • Communicates effectively, orally, and in writing in both Spanish
      and English and composes correspondence effectively and
      independently.
      • Performs various administrative tasks, special projects, and
      other responsibilities as needed.

      Ideal Qualifications:
      • College graduate.
      • Fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
      • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
      • Excellent organizational skills. Extremely high attention to
      detail.
      • Experience as an administrative assistant or executive
      assistant highly preferred.
      • Proven initiative and leadership to be a proactive project
      manager and anticipate needs.
      • Highly efficient. Strong ability to prioritize, manage time and
      oversee multiple tasks/projects.
      • Positive professional demeanor as first contact for most to
      Leadership Public Schools. Good interpersonal and customer service
      skills needed to interact effectively with board members, senior
      management, staff, vendors, parents and students.
      • Flexible, with willingness to play multiple roles in a start-up
      environment.
      • Experience in a fast-paced start up or corporate environment.
      • Excellent computer skills, including strong command of MS
      Office.
      • Excellent business writing skills, grammar, and spelling.
      • Experience developing or managing office files and record
      keeping systems.
      • Must be able to maintain confidentiality without exception.
      • Change and adapt office procedures and details to changing
      needs and requirements.
      • Team player - works and communicates well with others.
