      ABOUT THE POSITION

      The Acelero Learning Managing Director will be responsible for all
      of Acelero Learning's operations in one of 3 regions: the
      Southwest (Dallas and Oklahoma City), the Northeast, or California.
      This position will first and foremost oversee Acelero Learning
      contracts to provide extensive, on site, support to a limited number
      (less than three) of our partner Head Start programs. The successful
      candidate will have experience managing others and leading complex
      projects, ideally with experience in both the for-profit and not-for-
      profit sectors. While direct experience in early childhood education
      is not required, a deep belief in the life-changing impact of
      effective early childhood programs for low-income children and their
      families is essential. Applicants must be excited about the prospect
      of working in extremely diverse environments, be a self-starter, and
      have a track record of getting things done in under-resourced
      environments.

      ABOUT ACELERO LEARNING

      Acelero Learning is building a network of high quality Head Start
      programs by partnering with local not for profit organizations to
      implement effective management systems. Acelero Learning
      concentrates our support on three key areas:
      • on site coaching, feedback, and facilitation
      • technology and tools
      • network support and training

      Our Managing Directors are recent business school graduates who have
      extensive leadership experience and a desire to use their newly
      honed skills to help create high-performing Head Start programs in
      local communities across the country.

      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

      Serve as senior leader for Acelero Learning (10%)
      • Participate at management team level
      • Help develop and guide overall strategy of the company
      • Bring network perspective to bear on all strategic decisions
      • Quarterly visits to NYC office head quarters

      Managing Director (60%)
      • Serve as regional director for as many as 3 Acelero contracts
      with Head Start partner programs in respective region
      • Be on site with Head Start partners one day per week, and lead
      all aspects of work with partners
      • Be available as needed for partner issues.
      • Assist programs with effective implementation of all Head Start
      management systems

      Network Development (30%)
      • Lead sales efforts for new partner Head Start programs, with
      expectations of 1 to 2 new management contract sales in regional
      area each year
      • Assist with grant writing for all new RFPs and copy edit all
      written Acelero documents
      • Assist with sales presentations as needed

      JOB REQUIREMENTS
      • MBA or related graduate degree
      • Extensive experience managing others, ideally in a
      not-for-profit organization
      • Deep experience with project management, human resources, and
      fiscal systems preferred
      • Strong analytical reasoning and critical thinking skills
      • Strong written and oral communication skills
      • Willingness to work in a flexible, start-up environment
      • Desire to make a difference
