      communities to improve quality?

      Answer: Public Education

      Come learn how you can apply your leadership and management skills
      to improve the state of public education! The Broad Residency
      offers you a chance to make a difference and contribute your
      experience while earning $80,000 to $90,000 a year as a senior
      manager in one of our nation's largest urban school systems. The
      Broad Residency allows you to work for a superintendent or other top
      executive for two years while training to become one of tomorrow's
      public education leaders.

      Randy Ward, State Administrator of the Oakland Unified School
      District, will discuss his bold plans to improve the academic
      outcomes for all children in Oakland while restoring fiscal
      discipline to the ailing school district. Marcus Castain, Associate
      Director of The Broad Foundation, will tell you how you can join
      Broad Residents Barak Ben-Gal, Troy Christmas, Monique Epps, and Ky
      Vu in their efforts to transform public education.
