      OVERVIEW
      Ceiba Public Schools is a nonprofit charter management organization committed to
      closing the college-readiness gap for historically underserved students.

      Our first school, Ceiba College Prep, will be entering its sixth of operation
      serving 450 students in grades 6-11. Ceiba has an Academic Performance Index
      (API) of 845, a 97% parent satisfaction rate, and is ranked #1 of the 100 most
      demographically similar schools in California. Ceiba Middle School feeds into
      Ceiba High School, which is laddering into a 9-12 program. Both schools are
      located in downtown Watsonville, a small city in southern Santa Cruz County.

      At Ceiba, every student is prepared for college success through the cultivation
      of creativity, effort, integrity, benevolence, and assertiveness (C-E-I-B-A).
      Our program is based on explicit and ambitious expectations for student
      achievement, a small school feel offering personalized attention, an extended
      school day and school year, a challenging academic course load including art and
      physical education, and a positive, structured school environment. Ceiba also
      feature extensive after-school activities and high levels of academic support in
      order to achieve exceptional results.

      DUTIES
      Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to improving the minds and lives of
      students
      Arrive at school prepared for focused and engaging instruction
      Provide additional out of class support as needed for students in the form of
      office hours and/or tutoring
      Supervisor or sponsor a minimum of one school club, committee or activity
      Participate in professional development activities and share responsibility for
      grade-level and school-wide activities
      Collaborate closely with team members to share best practices, improve
      instructional strategies, and align and integrate curriculum
      Communicate constantly and effectively with students, parents and colleagues

      QUALIFICATIONS
      An absolute belief that all students can and will learn at high levels
      Proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom strongly preferred
      Mastery of and enthusiasm for subject matter
      Strong classroom management skills and ability to work with diverse groups of
      students
      Demonstrated ability and willingness to reflect, improve, and work within a team
      Valid teaching credential
      Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred

      We offer a competitive compensation package that is commensurate with
