Job Opening: K-3 Content Consultant (CFY)
- Position: K-3 Content Consultant
Job Type: Part-time; time-limited (This position will run through August 2014 and work a maximum of 30 hours per week)
Location: Remote; Reporting to National Office in New York City
CFY is seeking a K-3 expert who is excited about digital learning, experienced in bringing digital content into K-3 classrooms, and has their finger on the best digital content around the Web.
In this role you will be a part of the PowerMyLearning.com Content Team and help us bring new and exceptional K-3 digital content to PowerMyLearning.com.
This position will report to a member CFY's National PowerMyLearning® team.
Commit to 30 hours per week from June through August 2014
Work with a member of the PML team to meet weekly goals to curate new content for PowerMyLearning.com K-3 space
Develop supplementary materials to make the use of these digital activities easy and effective for students, teachers, and parents
Participate in weekly virtual training sessions during June
Participate in weekly virtual collaboration sessions thereafter
Edit, respond to, and give feedback to digital learning consultants on digital activities and supplemental materials online and/or via email or phone
Facilitate the thoughtful review and ongoing alignment of digital learning activities to Common Core standards
Passion for CFY's mission
Experience as a K-3 educator
Confidence working with the Common Core standards in Literacy and Math
Strong writing and editing skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the K-3 digital content landscape
Experience supporting teachers in implementing digital learning in the classroom, especially in K-3 grades
Familiarity with web-based product development and/or content management
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
