The K12 Search Group has recently partnered with the Illinois Network of Charter Schools (INCS) to recruit a Director of Advocacy and Policy Leadership.

Created in 2003, INCS's mission is to improve education by establishing high-quality charter public schools that transform lives and communities. As the voice of the Illinois charter schools, INCS advocates on behalf of the Illinois charter sector, provides support to strengthen charter schools, and influences education policy for the benefit of all public school students. Today INCS serves 134 charter schools representing over 50,000 students across the state of Illinois.

The Illinois Network of Charter Schools (INCS) seeks an entrepreneurial Director of Advocacy and Policy Leadership. The Director will lead a team to advocate for strong charter policies at the district and state level, work with external stakeholders to increase demand for high quality schools, conduct action-oriented research that repositions the school quality debate to "effective vs. ineffective", and link schools to resources by partnering with other like-minded organizations. The Director will bring significant advocacy and/or grassroots policy experience, as well as the strong people management and team building experience.

Additional details about the role can be found at our website: http://searches.k12searchgroup.com/INCS.

If you or someone you know is interested in this opportunity, please email Deane Mariotti at dmariotti@.... Also, feel free to share this position with people in your network.

      Thanks.
