KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy is a dynamic new charter school that
opened in San Francisco in July, 2003. The school is a rigorous
college preparatory public school that enrolls 80 underserved fifth
graders each year. Bay Academy is open to all students in San
Francisco, with special emphasis on the Western Addition, South of
Market, the Mission, and the Tenderloin communities. At full
capacity KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy will have a student
population of approximately 350 students grades 5 through 8.

our team as core classroom teachers (Social Studies, Science,
Mathematics, Language Arts, and Writing) for the fall 2004.
As a teacher who will be joining us in the early years of operation,
responsibilities will include activities such as teaching subject
matter based on the California content standards, tutoring, creating
assessments, designing curriculum scope and sequences, and
supervising students. Joining the team during its initial years will
offer vast leadership opportunities including shaping school
culture, establishing procedures and processes, and helping to mold
instructional programs and strategies.
