FULL-TIME TEACHING POSITIONS AT A BRAND NEW SCHOOL!

Are you a passionate, talented teacher who wants to teach with a
dedicated, driven staff? Do you believe preparing students for
college is necessary in the fight against poverty? Do you want to
teach in a structured environment where success is the norm?

KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy is a dynamic new charter school that
opened in San Francisco in July, 2003. The school is a rigorous
college preparatory public school that enrolls 80 underserved fifth
graders each year. Bay Academy is open to all students in San
Francisco, with special emphasis on the Western Addition, South of
Market, the Mission, and the Tenderloin communities. At full
capacity KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy will have a student
population of approximately 350 students grades 5 through 8.
Students attend classes from 7:30-5:00 daily, as well as every other
      Saturday.

We are looking for motivated, talented, passionate leaders to join
our team as core classroom teachers (Social Studies, Science,
Mathematics, Language Arts, and Writing) for the fall 2004.

As a teacher who will be joining us in the early years of operation,
responsibilities will include activities such as teaching subject
matter based on the California content standards, tutoring, creating
assessments, designing curriculum scope and sequences, and
supervising students. Joining the team during its initial years will
offer vast leadership opportunities including shaping school
culture, establishing procedures and processes, and helping to mold
      instructional programs and strategies.

Visit our website www.sfbayacademy.org to learn more about our
school. If you believe that college is one of the ways to fight
poverty and you want to work with people who are as effective as YOU
are, email your resume right away!
