      The Special Education Operations Analyst will be responsible for developing and delivering process improvements, systems, and tools that improve Special Education efficiency and compliance. This position will require strong listening skills, creative thinking, and ability to work cross-functionally to identify improvement areas, design solutions, and deliver those solutions effectively. The Special Education Operations Analyst will have significant interaction with the Director of Special Education and Finance Director. This position reports to the Director of School Support Improvement and Sustainability.


      •Identify and deliver process improvements, systems, and tools that support Special Education operational efficiency and compliance
      •Work cross-functionally with other Home Office departments and School Sites to deliver useful and usable improvements that help the Special Education department be more effective and efficient
      •Assess and identify areas for standardization across regions and school sites; implement standardized processes
      •Improve data and knowledge management processes and tools; organize and maintain relevant data and documents
      •Identify operational training needs for Special Education staff and deliver training and professional development, as needed
      •Work with Finance to develop and track the Special Education budget and implement improvements around financial management
      •Support development and/or adaption of processes, systems, and tools for Aspire Memphis schools
      •Communicate and interface with Special Education Local Plan Areas (SELPAs) with regards to compliance reporting
      •Perform other duties as assigned


      1)Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

      •Demonstrated success at leading, managing, and completing process improvement projects
      •Talent for listening, asking effective questions, and synthesizing information to identify improvement areas
      •Proven ability to research complex business problems and develop cost effective solutions
      •Track record of driving out inefficiencies and making systems/processes more repeatable and scalable
      •Experience with budgets and financial analysis
      •Strong attention to detail with ability to think strategically and holistically about a project
      •Excellent organization, time management and follow¬ up skills; high sense of urgency; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently; ability to work independently
      •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      •Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

      •Experience working with student information systems
      •Experience with developing and delivering training and professional development
      •Experience or strong interest in K-12 education
      •Experience or strong interest in special education

      2) Minimum educational level:
      •Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or other related field required

      3)Experience required:
      •3+ years work experience in project management, process improvement, operations, compliance or other related field
      •Experience working in a dynamic, high performing environment
