      Site Administrator
      The Site Administrator will assist with the management of tutoring programs. The Administrator will make necessary supplies are on site. The
      Administrator will take attendance and let the program manager know when students and teachers are in attendance. The Administrator will work with
      the staff of the host site (ie community based organization or school) to make sure Sylvan is a good partner. The Administrator will also communicate
      with parents, teachers and Sylvan staff ? taking messages and passing along information as needed.

      Candidates must be bilingual and have strong communication skills. Experience with tutoring programs and a knowledge of the local community are
      important. Ability to solve practical problems is essential. High energy level, a belief that all kids can learn and a positive outlook are vital.
      Compensation ranges from $10 to $15 per hour for 2-20 hours per week of work.

      Reading Tutor for Sylvan Education Solutions
      Tutors will teach vocabulary and comprehension to groups of 6-8 elementary, middle or high school students. Tutors will assess students, teach
      students reading concepts, manage classroom behavior and record progress. Training, management and all lesson plans are provided. Excellent program
      and work environment.

      Candidates must have a BA/BS. Teaching certificate or work toward a state credential is required. Experience in K-12 education is a must. Ability to
      teach English Language Learners and fluency in Spanish preferred. High energy level and flexibility needed. Belief that all kids can learn and
      positive outlook are essential.

      Tutors would work for 2-3 hours per day on Mondays through Fridays. Work will often start at 3:00 p.m and end 1-3 hours later.

      Math Tutor for Sylvan Education Solutions
      Tutors will teach computation and application to math skills to groups of 6-8 elementary, middle or high school students. Tutors will assess
      students, teach students math, manage classroom behavior, and record progress. Training, management and all lesson plans are provided. Excellent
      program and work environment.

      Candidates must have a BA/BS. Teaching certificate or work toward a state credential is required. Experience in K-12 education is a must. Fluency in
      Spanish preferred. High energy level and flexibility needed. Belief that all kids can learn and positive outlook are essential.

      Tutors would work for 2-3 hours per day on Mondays through Fridays. Work will often start at 3:00 p.m and end 1-3 hours later.

      Site Coordinator
      Site Coordinator needed to manage supplementary education programs in a San Jose elementary schools. Site Coordinator will teach students, manage
      part-time teachers, and communicate with school staff about program. Coordinator will also be responsible for staff development, student assessment,
      community outreach and meeting financial goals. Ability to talk with parents about educational issues in Spanish and in English a must. Work 40-50
      hours a week, many weekdays until 6:30 p.m.

      Area Manager
      Sylvan Education Solutions is hiring an Area Managers to lead education programs in K-12 schools. Area Manager oversees the operations at 10-20
      sites with the help of 2-6 direct reports.

      An Area Manager will work with principals and district leaders to start, run and expand programs. This person will also be responsible for assuring
      education quality, community outreach, financial and personnel goals are met. The ability to talk with students, teacher and parents about educational
      issues in Spanish and in English a must. Area Manager and Regional Director will work 45-55 hours a week, many weekdays until 6:30 p.m.


      A bachelor's degree and four years of related experience in the areas of education and business is required. Prior management and budget experience
      is a must. Candidates must have proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Belief that all kids can learn is
      essential as are excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills. Computer experience highly preferred. High energy level,
      positive outlook, and sense of humor desired.
