Job Opening: Education Pioneers seeks Recruiting Manager
Education Pioneers, a groundbreaking nonprofit organization, mobilizes and prepares a national network of talented leaders and entrepreneurs to transform the United States education system into one that equips all students with the skills they need to thrive in college, career, and life. Through the Graduate School Fellowship, the Analyst Fellowship, and Alumni programs, Education Pioneers increases the talent supply in education and improves leadership capacity in key education organizations such as school districts, charter school organizations, and nonprofits. Since 2004, Education Pioneers has successfully connected more than 900 high-potential professionals with leading education organizations.
Location: New York, DC Metro Area, Los Angeles, or the Bay Area
The Recruiting Manager will work as part of our National Recruitment and Admissions team to develop and execute an ambitious recruiting strategy for our Graduate School Fellowship and Analyst Fellowship. The Graduate School Fellowship targets talented graduate students at various business, law, policy, and education programs. The Analyst Fellowship targets professionals from the private sector with 2-6 years of work experience. The Recruiting Manager role requires significant travel from September through February (65%) and approximately 10% the rest of the year.
Execute a recruitment strategy to meet national recruitment goals
Represent Education Pioneers in external venues to effectively recruit a diverse population of high quality graduate students with the potential to lead education reform initiatives. Venues include on-campus presentations, national career fairs, admissions events, and networking events
Set, define, and meet ambitious recruiting goals from portfolio of schools
Further develop and implement a strategy to recruit more candidates of color to Education Pioneers' respective Fellowships
Advise Education Pioneers site teams on admissions decisions, cohort composition, and local recruitment strategies
Establish and maintain relationships with students and private sector organizations for effective collaboration during current and future recruiting cycles
Mobilize and manage Alumni volunteers to attract and identify top prospects, represent Education Pioneers at key events, and implement Alumni referral programs
Lead strategic projects that will contribute to the development of a highly effective national recruiting strategy
Manage marketing outreach and drive new marketing strategy with the Education Pioneers External Communications team
Maintain candidate correspondence and comments in applicant tracking system
The ideal candidate is dynamic communicator and will have exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills with a results oriented focus. Additionally, candidate must be able to generate widespread excitement and enthusiasm about the Education Pioneers Fellowship program.
Key qualifications also include:
At least three years of relevant professional experience in recruitment, admissions, and sales work that demonstrates the ability to manage and attain ambitious goals
Bachelors degree required
Demonstrated ability as a public speaker
Proven ability to build strong networks and cultivate action oriented relationships
High level of interest in working in human capital
