      online courseware, assessment, subject-specific supplemental
      software, reference, productivity tools, special needs, bilingual
      titles, and technology integration professional development. New this
      year are Destination Reading, Riverdeep Learning Village, Zoombinis
      Island Odyssey EEV, MindSight, The Print Shop 15, Liberty's Kids EEV,
      and Leonardo's Multimedia Toolbox Version 2.

      Summary:
      Responsible for one or more Riverdeep School curricula titles. Lead
      the development and implementation of brand marketing plans. The
      marketing plan will include recommendations on revenue/profit
      forecasts, pricing, packaging, advertising, promotions and consumer
      research to support existing product line and/or potential new
      product launches. The Brand Manager will work extensively with cross-
      functional departments such as product development, operations,
      sales, finance and creative services in developing and implementing
      your brand marketing plan.

      Act as a brand champion and develop a clear and ongoing understanding
      of the market segments that such brands compete in. Responsible for
      monitoring progress against marketing objectives and suggest remedial
      action if required.

      Essential Duties:

      Strategic Planning
      Lead the development and implementation of brand marketing plans. The
      marketing plan will include recommendations on revenue/profit
      forecasts, pricing, packaging, advertising and promotions to support
      existing product line and/or potential new product launches.
      Responsible for conducting regular business reviews.

      Budgeting, Forecasting, Business Tracking and P&L Management
      Responsible for the development of brand marketing budgets and
      ongoing tracking of actual expense against budgets. Create brand
      unit and revenue forecasts using input from sales and historical
      market sales data. Understand brand profit and loss statements and
      develop marketing plans in the context of company financial
      objectives.

      New Product Development
      Work closely with product development in developing new product
      launch ideas. Utilize market research, market and technology trend
      data, and sales input in developing recommendations. Represent the
      consumer voice in the product development process.

      Lead the development of financial recommendation for new product
      launch.

      Trade Promotions and Sales force management
      Work with channel marketing and sales to develop effective retail
      merchandising and promotion programs
      Develop new product sales launch materials. Create effective sales
      presentation. Act as the brand champion with Sales.

      Advertising and positioning
      Assist manager in the development of brand advertising, which
      includes development of advertising agency project briefs, media
      planning and selection and liaising with advertising agency. Lead
      portions of brand advertising projects.

      Market Research
      In conjunction with external research agencies, select appropriate
      research methodologies and lead research projects to support brand
      marketing decisions e.g. new product launches, brand positioning.

      Packaging
      Lead or supervise Associate Brand manager in the development of
      packaging with high shelf impact.

      Consumer Promotions/Public relations
      Lead or supervise (if position has direct report) consumer promotions
      that leverage consumer buying behavior, are simple to execute and
      make sound financial sense. Work with P.R department to generate
      reviews and P.R for product line.

      Education/Experience/Skills/Abilities:

      · Undergraduate degree in Business with a Marketing emphasis.
      MBA preferred.
      · A minimum of 2 years business experience in a marketing
      role.
      · Experience with K-12 public school products or with products
      targeted at parents and their children is a plus.
      · Hands on experience with brand or business management basics
      i.e. Marketing plan development, Profit and Loss statement
      management, forecasting, budgeting, pricing, packaging, advertising,
      new product development, consumer research
      · Keen creative sense
      · Proven analytical and problem solving abilities. Experience
      in making fact-based recommendations
      · Experience in creating and implementing programs with cross-
      functional departments e.g. Sales, Product development, P.R,
      operations, finance
      · A basis understanding of the US K-12 Public School
      environment a plus

      Other Skills
      · Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
      · Demonstrated leadership ability in motivating, influencing
      and guiding cross functional teams
      · Independent thinker with the ability to challenge status quo
      and present persuasive, fast based recommendations for change
      · Experience working in a fast-paced deadline oriented
      environment
      · Proven ability to multi-task and set priorities
      · Results oriented and self motivated with ability to work with
      minimal direction
      · Demonstrated ability to understand global issues while
      meeting tactical and executional needs on brand
      · Prior experience in managing and training a direct report a
      great plus
      · Must be computer literate as an end-user in Excel, Word,
      Presentation software
