PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD: NOW RECRUITING YOUTH FOR SUMMER
      LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Exploring Leadership trains rising 11th and 12th graders
(current 10th and 11th graders) from Oakland, Berkeley,
Piedmont, and San Francisco who are interested in expanding
their leadership skills by examining community issues and models
of public leadership. Participants complete five-week
internships, skill-building and issue-focused seminars, an
outdoor week, and a group project over the course of the summer.

Students who are already in leadership positions gain a lot of
new skills and experiences from this program. It can also be
really eye-opening for those who have a "spark" of leadership
potential/interest and could really benefit from having this
kind of support, resources, and space to grow.

Applications are due April 4th! Please get the word out to the
youth that you work with and to other people who have contact
with youth who could take advantage of this unique opportunity.

Exploring Leadership is a program of Coro Northern California, a
      60 year-old, non-partisan nonprofit that offers leadership
training in public affairs for youth and adults. Visit the Coro
      web site at www.coro.org.
