College Track is a powerful, comprehensive, after-school program working to increase high school graduation, college eligibility and enrollment, and college graduation rates among low-income, under-resourced high school students.  College Track actively engages students from the summer before ninth grade through college graduation, providing seamless, longitudinal services that build and reinforce the habits and skills necessary for success.  Through its center-based approach, core service areas, and data-driven methods, College Track creates an atmosphere of high standards and expectations, ensuring that each student is college-ready and providing support that many students do not have at home or school.  With a staff of 27 and an operational budget of over $4M, the organization supports more than 750 high school and 250 college students at centers in East Palo Alto, Oakland, San Francisco, and New Orleans.

The next CEO will inherit a proud, passionate, dynamic, evolving organization driven by high expectations for academic achievement and a fierce determination to close the achievement gap.  Therefore, s/he must embrace the College Track vision of transforming low-income communities into places where college readiness and college graduation are the norms.  Additionally, candidates for the position must have senior management experience across a distributed or multi-site organization that includes the development and management of senior staff performance; team- and culture-building experience; demonstrable success in cultivating and closing new sources of funding from a wide range of donors; senior-level strategic and tactical planning management experience on behalf of an organization; a demonstrated commitment to working with people of diverse backgrounds; and experience working with a board of directors or trustees.  For a more comprehensive position description including a list of required and desired qualifications, please contact the recruiter for the search using the contact information below.

The review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.  For best consideration, applications should be submitted electronically prior to Monday, July 12, 2010 and should consist of a cover letter and resume.   Nominations, applications, or inquiries about the position and/or the search process should be directed to the executive recruiting team managing the search:
