      Job Title:  Student Internship Advisor

       

      Intrax International Institute is a division of Intrax Cultural Exchange, a family of organizations dedicated to cultural exchange and international education, with operations in over 80 countries worldwide.  We are currently seeking a results-oriented, dynamic, and customer service focused Internship Advisor to join our San Francisco team.   An interest in international exchange, business to business sales, attention to detail, and a strong focus on customer service are the key to success in this position.  

      Job Responsibilities

      • Provide excellent customer service and counseling to Intrax students
      • Coordinate and manage the Intrax Professional Internship Program including:
        • Supervise the delivery of internship program curriculum, including teaching the class when appropriate, preparing classroom materials, tracking on program assignments, coordinating student presentations and graduations
        • Coordinate and lead in center internship program recruitment, meeting monthly participation goals as set by the Program Director
        • Maintain internship student files, in accordance with accreditation standards and Intrax policy
        • Coordinate pre-program screening and on program advising for Internship students
        • Recruit qualified internship host company opportunities for participants, and maintain host company relationships
      • Coordinate professional activities programming including guest speakers, host company tours, internship presentations, professional job shadowing and mentoring opportunities, and volunteer opportunities for students
      • Assist in planning, preparing and supervising special group programs
      • Assist in providing university and college advising to students
      • Assist in local sales and marketing efforts, including covering front desk sales and community outreach.

       

      Daily Tasks

      • Lead participant and host company recruitment, coordinate participant screening, and manage enrolment for the Internship Program
      • Supervise students enrolled in the Internship Program
      • Maintain Internship student files, including coordinating the academic portfolio for student on program
      • Counseling students
      • Assist in teaching and managing the internship preparation class
      • Responding to email, voicemail, faxes, and letters within one business day
      • Assisting the Student Services team, including providing front desk sales coverage, and assisting with center activities.
      • Conducting Host Company site visits and accompanying interns on interviews

      Periodic Tasks

      • Conducting weekly student orientations and graduations
      • Compiling and submitting weekly internship tracking reports
      • Recruiting host companies for the internship program, conducting host company site visits, and accompanying interns on interviews
      • Participating in company-wide student services meetings, school management meetings, and staff meetings
      • Assisting with the local sales & marketing plan, and attending community networking events
      • Maintaining Internship Bulletin board and host company opportunity profiles
      • Organizing internship events including Internship Presentations, Graduation, Information Sessions, Host Company Receptions, professional guest speakers and Host Company tours.
      • Meeting with Colleges and Universities to establish and maintain relationships and develop Memorandum of Understandings 

       

      Qualifications

      ·         Bachelor's degree

      ·         Strong attention to detail

      ·         Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a very fast paced environment

      ·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office

      ·         Friendly positive attitude and cross cultural sensitivity

      ·         Experience working with a sales team

      ·         Networking Skills

      ·         Experience working, studying or living abroad preferred

      ·         Proficiency in a second language preferred
