Teach For America Bay Area Alumni Chapter Policy Night 5/14
- Teach For America Bay Area Alumni Chapter Policy Night
Community Discussion on Life After Senior Year
What can our schools do to better prepare all students for life after high school? What roles can and should adult community members play in the lives of our students? What are attractive postsecondary options for young people today?
Join the Bay Area Teach for America Alumni chapter,INFORUM, and Full Circle Fund as we bring together youth and adults to have a constructive conversation about these and other educational issues that matter most to the students themselves. The discussion will feature a group of teenagers to talk about their experiences and aspirations and a number of adult practitioners from schools and local support organizations to discuss how they assist students in making a successful transition to postsecondary life. This forum is part of a public engagement campaign around the broadcast of the PBS documentary, Senior Year, which seeks to bring the voices of teens into community discussions about education.
Hosted by INFORUM, a division of the Commonwealth Club, and co-sponsored by the Bay Area Teach For America Alumni Chapter and Full Circle Fund.
