      Organization: GreatSchools
      Position: Education Data Coordinator
      Location: San Francisco

GreatSchools Inc., and its online media property, GreatSchools.net,
is the nation's premier provider of K-12 school information. Our
mission is to help parents choose the best school for their
children, support their children's education and improve schools
nationwide. We are an Internet-based nonprofit organization made
possible by the generous support of foundations and corporations,
including the Pisces Foundation, the William and Flora Hewlett
Foundation, Washington Mutual, Inc. and the NewSchools Venture Fund.
Our organization's dedicated and talented team is headquartered in
downtown San Francisco. Our online guide to K-12 schools,
www.greatschools.net, will reach about 20 million parents this year,
and our content powers the top Internet sites, including AOL,
Yahoo!, Google, MSN, LATimes and many other media partners.

Detailed information on schools -- including test scores, teacher
qualifications, and other data -- is the primary value our Web site
offers parents who are looking up their child's current school, or
who are comparing schools as they move or choose a new school. The
quality and timeliness of the data, and the effectiveness of our
internal processes to add and update data, are fundamental to the
value GreatSchools provides to the public.
