      Title: Director, Public Relations
      Reports To: Vice President of Schools Marketing
      Location: San Francisco

      We are seeking a highly experienced & motivated public relations
      director to work on all of the company's public relations and
      corporate communications strategy. Experience with educational trade
      and consumer media is a must for this position. US K-12 school
      experience is also highly advantageous.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      Owns overall public relations strategy
      • Own all public relations related work – strategy & execution:
      o Create PR plan for 2005
      o Work with senior management on goals/direction/messaging and public positioning of the company
      o Media relations
      o Writing of all press material
      o Build long-term perception of Riverdeep in the marketplace
      • Plan and execute all PR campaigns for both school and consumer channel
      • Plan and execute all road shows to build momentum around Riverdeep strategy and product offerings
      • Work closely with sales teams to manage regional and local press to drive incremental sales in key areas
      • Set short and long-term measurable objectives (media placements, etc) that are in-line with Riverdeep's business objectives
      • Management of public relations budget
      • Manage the vendors or partners such as Bacons, Factiva, PR Newswire
      • Monthly budget updates

      People Management:
      • Manage Public relations agency relationship

      Ideal candidate profile:

      • Outstanding project management and leadership skills – expert at building & tracking pr plan
      • A minimum of seven to years experience at an agency or in-house
      • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and communication skills.
      • Ability to drive consensus among various internal stakeholders.
      • Consistent history of results and creative solutions to difficult problems

      Title: Marketing Communications Manager
      Reports To: Director, Creative Services
      Location: San Francisco, CA

      Position Summary:
      Responsible for the development and execution of school marketing and
      communications – including marketing plans, national events and their
      supporting materials, sales support materials and collateral

      Primary Responsibilities:
      • Develop and execute marketing plans and allocation of marketing budget for school marketing and communication.
      • Direct the definition and development of a Riverdeep User Community – including launching a customer user's community online, monthly newsletters and an annual conference.
      • Manage development, production and dissemination of collateral materials (sell sheets, research papers, sales binders, etc.) Work with Sales to define critical tools for them to achieve revenue numbers.
      • Manage all National Trade shows to achieve annual lead generation numbers
      • Manage fulfillment house of all sales support materials
      • Create and launch annual catalog
      • Work closely with Brand Team and Direct Marketing Manager to ensure all net new customer acquisition and post sales customer support drives forecasted incremental leads and revenue
      • Launch new Riverdeep.net web-site
      • Research and analyze competitive marketing and communications to ensure we are ahead of the curve
      • Survey customers to ensure we are on message with our positioning, creative, copy and call to action
      • Participate in developing and managing the implementation of selected marketing projects.
      • Participate in the development of the annual budget and monitor monthly actual versus budgeted expenses.

      Education/Requirements/Skills:
      • Bachelor's degree in business/marketing or other related field. Master's degree preferred.
      • Four plus years marketing experience in an education or business-to-business company or agency.

      • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, work independently, problem solve, work as part of a team and perform under pressure.

      Database Marketing Manager
      Reports To: Senior Marketing Manager
      Location: San Francisco, CA

      We are seeking an experienced & motivated database marketing manager
      to leverage Oracle 11i to manage and drive the US Schools Market
      plan. Experience in business to business marketing and lead
      generation is a must for this position. US K-12 school experience is
      also highly advantageous.

      Primary Responsibilities:
      Owns Overall Marketing and Communication to US K-12 School Market:
      • Contibute to data requirements needed to support marketing campaign lifecycle such as:
      o List generation
      o Tracking and processing related to ERP, CRM, and Web
      o Analysis for ROI, revenue, unit, and branding analysis
      o Leased industry data
      • Plan and Execute database marketing portion of campaigns
      o Work with marketing resources to define calendar
      o Work with marketing resources to list definition (segmentation,etc) in Oracle Marketing Online
      o Create list definition and list output in Oracle Marketing
      Online
      • Management of database budget
      • Sales and marketing analysis
      • Coordinate all list activities (selection, rentals, merge/purge, hygiene, etc.) for telesales, schools direct mail, and email campaigns
      • Manage the vendors or partners who are key to our customer
      acquisition and database enhancement programs
      • Weekly financial reports and analysis

      Ideal candidate profile:
      • At least five years of database marketing in a business to business and/or technology company, preferably supporting marketing/sales
      • Technical/database aptitude – Oracle 11i - sufficient to communicate and collaborate with IT and drive change
      • Understanding of complete lifecycle of a marketing campaign including metrics on lead gen, opportunity management, quoting, and revenue generation.
      • Ability to collaborate with all functions (order management, customer service, tech support, accounts receivable, IT, marketing, product development) to represent marketing's needs, promote process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.
      • Knowledge of school market ideal
      • BS/BA in Business, Marketing or related degree, MBA a plus
      • High energy level
      • Strong presentational skills and talent for negotiation and consensus building
