      The Young Entrepreneurs' Organization (YEO) seeks a highly
      qualified individual to serve as a Liaison to a partner organization,
      SeaChange, a social entrepreneurial organization. This new YEO staff
      member will be the primary liaison between YEO and SeaChange. The
      position will be located at YEO's international headquarters in
      Alexandria, VA.

      Organization: As a global, non-profit educational organization
      for young entrepreneurs, YEO strives to help its members build upon
      their successes through an array of educational and networking
      opportunities. With more than 3,500 members in 90 chapters around
      the world, YEO provides its members access to a dynamic network of
      peers on an international level.

      Background: SeaChange is a new non-profit organization whose mission
      is to catalyze sustainable social change through social
      entrepreneurship. SeaChange forges alliances among social
      entrepreneurs, social investors and business leaders by creating the
      entrepreneurial nonprofit marketplace that provides access to
      expertise, collaboration and capital.

      To further the missions of both organizations, a unique partnership
      has been developed to create this position to serve as a matchmaker
      of partnerships between YEO's business members and SeaChange's
      non-profit social entrepreneurs.

      Position: This position will focus on connecting businesses with
      non-profit social entrepreneurs and organizations. In collaboration
      with SeaChange, the position was created to be a resource for those
      YEO members seeking partnerships with non-profit social entrepreneurs
      and organizations. The Liaison will be responsible for helping
      businesses develop criteria for partnerships, identifying potential
      partners through research and review of the SeaChange database and
      facilitating relationships where appropriate. The Liaison will serve
      as an internal resource for YEO and will be responsible for
      increasing business awareness and understanding of social
      entrepreneurship and partnership issues; conducting outreach to the
      broad business community concerning social entrepreneurship;
      providing
      tools, technical assistance and consulting advice to members;
      developing and implementing strategic plans; and contributing to the
      research and writing of educational tools/guides for members.

      Specific duties of the Liaison position include:

      *In collaboration with YEO and SeaChange staff, develop a strategic
      plan for achieving the goal of the partnership, including measurable
      outcomes
      *Provide a resource to the business community seeking relationships
      with social entrepreneur partners and organizations and non-profit
      partners
      *Represent YEO and SeaChange on a range of social entrepreneurship,
      corporate-NGO partnership and corporate community involvement
      *Conduct consulting projects for companies on a range of community
      involvement issues as they relate to partnerships with social
      entrepreneurs
      *Research information on social entrepreneurship and community
      involvement issues, including business leadership practices and
      emerging issues and trends, using a wide range of sources, including
      Internet, library searches and phone interviews
      *Organize information into reports, spreadsheets and database programs
      *Research and write educational topic overviews, issue briefs,
      company and/or social entrepreneur profiles, strategic "how to"
      tools,
      guides and reports on areas related to business practices and
      relationships with social entrepreneurs
      *Summarize articles from print and on-line publications for inclusion
      in YEO's and SeaChange's circulations
      *Build relationships with members to encourage their participation in
      YEO and SeaChange via meetings, phone calls and written
      communications.

      Relevant Qualifications:
      *a college degree (with strong preference for a graduate degree), and
      five years minimum professional experience
      *work experience in or with the business community, and in or with
      corporate partnerships with non-profit entrepreneurs and
      organizations
      *excellent research and business writing skills
      *strong verbal communication skills
      *ability to do thorough analytical and research work
      *ability to work independently and show initiative
      *creative problem-solving capability and ability to see tasks through
      to completion
      *strong organizational and project management skills, with
      extraordinary follow-through and attention to detail
      *ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
      *experience and comfort with information technology resources (e.g.
      Word, database software, Internet communications)
      *familiarity with non-profit and social entrepreneur intermediary
      organizations
      *capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization
      that values collaboration, and to exhibit grace under pressure
      *high ethical standards.
