The Secret Word
- Reading the posts about the secret word was interesting
I remember when I was coming up to my second. I remember all of the
reading said that the secret word was so special and that it was only
for you. Thought that the word was one that I would come up with
myself through contemplation. After all it is my secret word isn't
it. Shouldn't God give it to me. I found one for myself during the
contemplation in the initiation. Then the initiator gave one to me.
I was thinking to myself "hey I got one already!" And here they go
giving me one off the self saying that it is powerful and on and on
If anyone here was a past initiator it would be interesting to hear
what the Initiators Handbook said and what list of words it has.
Makes me wonder what the initiator thinks. Because wouldn't they be
getting some of the same words themselves for thier own initiations.
Don't they know they gave people the same secret word?
- You realise that by revealing your secret word you're all going to suffer a
fate worse than sitting through a Klemp speech. There's no way I'm ever
going to tell anyone that my secret word was bindi.

><html><body>I had heard my word on the inner. Damn that Hu habit is hard to break after 15 years as a brainwashed Eckist. I try to use various mantras at different times for different purposes these days, yet still sometimes find myself chanting HU, in spite of myself! Insidious. . .

>Wow! How did you rate to get such a "customized" personal word? I also was given the work Ah Koo for my second initiation, along with a speech by the HI doing the initiation about how this word was so private and personal it belonged to only me and was never to be revealed. Also a bunch of crap about how personal words were so individual that they inevitably changed with each individual's spiritual growth and today I read with mostly amusement that I was simply one of many (perhaps thousands) given the word Ah Koo for my second initiation. My third initiation was a complete bust, but I lied to the initiator and told him

I found using a firm "NO!!!!" when I got the urge to "hu" worked
You know...a "mantra" may be helpful, but I found it's not
really necessary at all for *anything*, really. Just the
thought/intent/whatever "works" just as well.
Except for perhaps *one* I use regularly...I walk around
frequently chanting "Don't forget ____________ " (whatever, for
example...today I'm using "it's Friday!")
Don't remember seeing you posting here before, but darn, the most
obvious short, handy "nickname" for you just isn't exactly polite!
