    Join the ASU Early Music Chamber Choir (aka Solis Camerata) for their final 2 concerts of the season! Both concerts will feature music inspired by Shakespeare.

    Shakespeare in the Desert: ASU Solis Camerata, Choral Union and Arizona ProArte

    Arizona ProArte join with Arizona State University's Solis Camerata and Choral Union for "Shakespeare in the Desert." Experience music inspired by the words of Shakespeare and feel his influence in excerpts from “Julius Caesar” featuring ASU soloists: Stefan Gordon, Joyce Yin, Jinhee Shin, Annalise Belnap and Rhea Miller. Shakespearean actors will give a voice to Faure’s “Shylock Suite” with Soprano Kira Rugen. Various unaccompanied choral music on texts by Shakespeare is also included.

    This concert features pieces that come from Shakespeare’s time and contemporary composers such as ASU doctoral students TA Elliot Sneider and Kira Z. Rugen as well as R.V. Williams, Thomas Morley, G.F. Handel, Matthew Harris, and William Cornish.
