A reminder to reserve your tickets for the *free* concert this Friday (Organ Hall is filling up!), and to join us for the masterclass on Saturday:

Phoenix Early Music Society presents Sense and Sensuality of the Italian Trecento with The Broken Consort
      Feb. 1, 2013, 7:30 p.m.
Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts
      School of Music
      Location: Organ Hall
      Campus: Tempe
      Cost: Free, reservations required
For reservations call the Herberger Institute Box Office at 480.965.6447

In this *free* concert, The Broken Consort brings to life the expressive musical language of 14th century Italy--the era of Dante and Petrarch. The rarely-performed music of Francesco Landini, Lorenzo da Firenze, and Jacopo da Bologna speaks a unique language, full of emotion and harmonic color. Experience new forms of expression in these sensual songs and the novel sound of the medieval vielle, lute, historic winds, brass and percussion. This concert is co-sponsored by the ASU School of Music and the Phoenix Early Music Society.

      Masterclass with The Broken Consort

Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts
      Gammage Auditorium
      Location: Room 301

In this *free* masterclass, members of The Broken Consort will coach the ASU Early Music Chamber Choir (Solis Camerata) in vocal techniques and they will also give a demonstration of various historical instruments (winds, brass, strings, percussion). All are welcome!

Please forward this invitation to anyone who may be interested.

We hope to see you this weekend!
