      Humanitarian Aid Projects Seeking Partners

Many Rotarians may not be aware of the many ways to receive support and
find partners for their humanitarian aid projects. After 7+ years of
involvement in the World Community Service Resource Network (WCSRN), I am
absolutely convinced that the first place Rotarians should post their
projects in need of support or partners is with the RI WCS Projects
      Directory (P/E).

Then they should go ahead with the Matching Grant process and trying to find
a partner in other ways. There are only 400+ projects in search of help
listed on the P/E and the WCSRN estimates that there are over 3000 projects
in need of help all the time. There are also many other ways shown on the
      RI World Community Service

In addition, the resources of the World Community Service Resource Network
(WCSRN) can help direct you, in finding the experienced Rotarians in each
region of the world, and also Project Specialists who can advise you on how
to set up and execute projects in the 82 categories we have identified. The
WCSRN may possibly, at some time in the future, be merged into the newly
created Humanitarian Service Resource Fellowship (HSRF), but at this time it
doesn't appear that the HSRF intends to maintain the diversity of resources
presently available on the WCSRN Web Site.
After posting to the RI WCS Projects Exchange, you may then announce your
project and seek help by posting your needs on the WCSRN Yahoo Listserve.
Like ROTI, your message immediately reaches Rotarians, 507 of them in this
case, who are involved in the humanitarian programs of Rotary. To register
for the Listserve, you need to click "Listserve" near the top of the WCSRN
Web Site, address below in my signature.

Good hunting for your support and please contact me if you have any
      questions.
