On 13th January, India completed 3 years without a Polio case. The day was celebrated across India by Rotary as a major milestone towards a Polio Free India.
On 11th February, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India is celebrating the success of the Polio Eradication Programme in India. A major event has been planned by the Government of India at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium for approx. 3000 participants. The Hon’ble President of India, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Smt. Sonia Gandhi and the Minister of Health have confirmed their participation in the event. The theme of the Programme is “A Proud India Celebrates Three Years of Freedom from Polio”. The Government of India has shown its confidence in Rotary by asking it to provide support in organizing the Programme. Rotary has also been asked to invite upto 1000 school students and 500 Rotarians. This is to request you to spare your time to attend this important Programme.
There will be no registration charges for the Programme. The Programme will start from 5.00 p.m. and conclude by 7.00 p.m.
The last date for submission of the form is Saturday, the 25th January, 2014. For your travel and accommodation related requirements, kindly contact the official travel agency mentioned in the registration form.
