  • I've finally diagnosed a strange behaviour with Bandmaster that has been puzzling me for ages. Sometimes when I click on a spot, it tunes almost to the right frequency, but not exactly - then I have to click on it again and it goes to the exact frequency! The light finally dawned this morning when I was doing some CW on 30m and clicked on a spot for a station on 20m - sure enough...

  • at risk of following up my own message... the problem seems to be related to bandmaster needing administrator priviledges - I just tryed playing with the windows compatibility settings and, if I set it to run with administrative rights, it does at least action manual changes I make to the configuration file - without admin rights, it seemed to ignore any changes I made to the...

  • Hi there, just migrated to a new PC which has Vista Home Premium edition loaded. Most things seem to be working OK except for trying to create new bandmaster filters - or edit existing ones. I'm trying to set the "Only spotted by neighbours" flag and it always reports an access violation when I press OK. The edit actually has been made, but not committed to disk - if I close and...

  • Hi there, since I upgraded to Ionoprobe 1.3, I don't seem to ever have any figures for Proton Flux or X-Ray Flux on the "Week" tab - but I do seem to have reasonable values on the "Year" tab all the way up to the current date... PC is running XP, fully up to date with IE6. Martin (G8FXC)

  • It's a minor point, but it's been puzzling me - is anyone else seeing Ionoprobe reporting a big spike in SSN every few days lasting a couple of hours? shows it jumping from the current near-zero to more than 200! I checked with another solar stats program and that did not show anything around that time. Martin (G8FXC)

  • Indeed - if you check the NOAA web site, you will see that their graphs stop at just about the same time as the Ionoprobe graphs. No explaination there, but no updates since around 14:00 UTC on the 8th...
