  • Hello I'm testing HamCap with Ionoprobe. Got two questions. - How do I integrate Ionoprobe into Hamcap? I switched "ON" Ionoprobe integration button on settings tab and I can see Kp readings background now is green. But it says Kp=1. (Ionoprobe says Kp=2). Hamcap SSN readings is in white background and says SSN=108. (Ionoprobe says Current SSN=25, Effective SSN=16. Did I understand...

  • Thank you Alex for explanation. Indeed, I downloaded Ionoprobe trial and found effective SSN here. But now I have another question. Effective SSN varies during day significantly. Therefore if SSNe data is taken from ionosonde which is near my QTH, it will work out for me. But if it is taken from ionosonde somewhere in Newfoundland island it won't show real picture in Europe. Or I...

  • Hello Probably I don't have some theory of radio waves propagation and miss some point. About Ionoprobe. One of Radio waves propagation guru's Karl Leutzelschwab K9LA in PVRC webinar http://mysite.verizon.net/k9la/Propagation_Prediction_Programs_Their_Development_and__Use_-_20_October_2009.ppt clearly stated that HF propagation has correlation to Smoothed Sunspot Number (or...

  • Hello guys, I accidentally found that if I enter prefix into DX Call field in HamCAP program, it point to wrong place in some cases. Let's say LU point to 62S 60W which google maps shows is almost antarctic and of course, propagation should be a lot different that what in Argentina ~34S ~64W is. Prefix CE also points to antarctic. HC8 is correct. I did not check other prefixes, but...

  • Hi all I have one wish to be included to Ham CAP. It is time marks on chart window. Why? Sometimes, most often before major contests I do predictions to most populated areas for my radio club members or simply do some analysis how exact prediction was at certain date and certain path. Most descriptive screenshots I found are chart window screenshots. The one thing I miss is time...
