  • There's also one (but only one) spot for IK1QAD at that time - seems more plausible for that time of day... also, looking at DXSummit history, I see: IZ8MWG 3556.0 IK1QAD tnx qso walter fb 73 2105 01 Dec Italy Same QRG, so it's probably where he likes to hang out... ~Iain / N6ML On Thu, Dec 30, 2010 at 7:34 PM, Wes Cosand wrote: > Hi Steve: > > If you are interested in the Reverse...

  • Jim, In the Audio tab of the Settings window, have you select the EMU as the "Signal I/O Device"? You should also select a valid "Audio I/O Device" (which could be the EMU too). ~Iain / N6ML On Sat, Nov 6, 2010 at 2:07 AM, k7eg <57JNDenneny@^$1> wrote: > > > > New to Skimmer and have setup issue. • Thanks Bruce, I was able to track down 4 of my ship/MM contacts. and got those restored to the map. There are some others somewhere else on this Radio only computer. Generaly, the server timestamps should all be in the same range, +- a few mS, straddling the red line. That in turn often slopes up or down, depending on the exact CPU clock behaviour of your machine. Try and find out what addresses your ISP's NTP servers are at, and add them to Faros's...

  • Hi... Other people have reported on other lists, that if you remove (then clean up) and re-install the app, but DO NOT let it use the default install path (C:\Program files\app\... etc) but tell it to create and or use a unique folder right off the root of C, such as C:\app\... That lets many things run and behave much better with Win7. Not tried it myself, not got W7 yet, but I...

  • An exelent idea (user configurable colours etc) But till then, some delicate tweakage of your monitors "Brightness" and "Contrast" may help a lot with this. Especialy if it's a CRT display and at high resoloution. Or if it's a LCD display, adjusting any viewing angle setting it may have. If it's a LCD panel or laptop, make sure you have the PC display setings idealy set to values...

  • Dave. Hi again. Have you managed to control it from the OmniRig client, not with Faros running, just that client program (that invokes the OmniRig system behind the scenes.) I also see there is a IC725 and IC725a in the list of radios OmniRig knows about, I guess you've tried both 'drivers'? If none of that works, does anything else successfully control the radio via that serial...
