      Hi Greg,

The Evidence value shown in the log and on the front panel of Faros is not a
probability, it is a so called log-likelihood ratio. This value can be
higher than one. In fact, the values higher than 1 indicate the presence of
      the beacon signal.

      Hi all,

What does a probability value such as 3.47 mean, whereas I understand
the value should be between 0.00 and 1.00?

I didn't set up the delay properly, but I also see similar results on
      other monitoring web sites.

          Hi Greg,

Faros is not officially supported on Vista and probably will never be.
This program needs to accurately estimate the signal delay which requires a
direct access to the WDM audio driver as described at the
          Microsoft Web site: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/audio/DirectKS.mspx
          .
Unfortunately, Microsoft states, "Be forewarned that the DirectKS approach
is unlikely to work on operating systems after Windows XP and Windows Server
          2003".

A number of users have reported that Faros worked fine on their Vista
          systems,
          so YMMV.
