RE: [DUTCH OVEN COOKING] Scouts -- Boy AND Girl
- Hey Jim,
Just a little follow up to your post. "You can take a person out of
Scouting, but you can never take the Scouting out of the person."
Thank you for the welcome Jim. I am looking forward to picking your
brain about DO cooking also.

Subject: [DUTCH OVEN COOKING] Scouts -- Boy AND Girl
I will add my welcome to all the Scout volunteers out there. I got
involved with DO cooking as an Assistant Scoutmaster when my son moved
from Cubs to Boy Scouts. I still work with a troop 13 years later. I
am also a Lifetime member of GSUSA as a trainer and Service Center &
Council Committee member as well as Family and Community Partnership
chair for the Service Unit. I do training in Outdoor cooking which is
heavy in cast iron (pun intended), but also includes foil, box oven, and
coffee can cooking. Its all good!
I agree with what other respondents have said. Get your sons and
daughters involved in Boy or Girl Scouting. AND GET INVOLVED WITH THEM!
It is the best fun you can have for $10.00 a year.
