      Aside from worring about the Shock of the iron going from one temperature to another is the FACT that food is NOT to be stored in cast iron. You certainly don't want to put food in a cast iron pot & Leave it for any time uncooked or cooked. My next comment is w/tongue in cheek....who in the world has enough extra room in their refrigerator for a big pot! LOL :)
      Go w/the preparation of the food ahead & use food safe storage containers & freezer zip lock bags, storing in frig. till you are ready to cook. Hope you share the recipes. Happy Safe Cooking. Ridn' edianne
