      It was such a nice day that I thought I'd light a fire in my backyard
      fire-ring, put up a tripod and cook an old Hungarian favourite: DOGRACS
      GULYAS (goulash). My neighbours and I enjoyed it so I thought I'd share
      tonight's dinner with you.

      Ingredients:
       2 tbsp. olive oil
       1.5 lbs beef in ¼ cubes (I cut larger, say ½ cubes)
       2 cups water
       1 quart of home canned tomatoes
       3 medium onions, chopped
       chopped garlic
       2 teaspoons paprika
       1 beef bouillon cube
       ½ teaspoon caraway seed (I use more)
       ground white pepper
       2 medium potatoes cut in 1.5 inch pieces
       2 green peppers, cut into 1 inch pieces
       sour cream

      Directions:
      1. Heat oil in Dutch oven or skillet (with lid)
      2. Cook beef about 15 minutes, drain
      3. Add water, tomatoes, with liquid, onions, garlic paprika, bouillon,
      caraway seed and pepper
      4. Break up tomatoes if necessary
      5. Heat to boiling, reduce heat
      6. Cover and SIMMER one (1) hour
      7. Add potatoes, cover and simmer till beef and taters are tender, about 30
      minutes
      8. Add green peppers, cover and simmer till tender (8-10 minutes)
      9. Serve over noodles and put a dollop of sour cream on top

      Have some crusty or Heavy Grain bread on hand (btw, it's even better if you
      serve it in a bread bowl)!
