lives in Pella, Iowa and works at Vermeer Corporation as a training and development specialist. Wayne is a great speaker and will be helping us with D.O. 101 demos this year!

Got interested in Dutch Oven cooking about 12 years ago after seeing a workshop demonstration. Ron Groenendyk was helpful with cooking ideas. 10 years ago bought my first Dutch Oven and accessories and started using it for cooking, especially while camping, but have also used it for group meals, special events, high school food preparation class and fund raising auctions
My specialty is a Dutch Oven pizza. This is approximately 1 to 1.5 inches thick, depending on what is used for ingredients. I have also won first place in a Dutch Oven cookout with a main dish called Meatloaf Flower.
