      From his Obituary Oct. 23, 1974 Washington Journal:

      Home in Wellman where he had resided for the past 2 1/2 years. Mr. Snider was born near Wellman Oct. 1, 1883, a son of Jacob and Josephine Thompson Snider. He attended rural schools. He married Zebuda Clyde on March 8, 1905 and she died in 1919. He farmed in South Dakota until 1920 when he moved to Kalona. He lived there until 1961 and then moved to Wellman. On Nov. 29, 1938 he married Matilda Gingerich who died in 1961.

      Services for Mr. Snider were held at 10:30 am Friday at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman, Roy Snider, 91, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 22, 1974 at Skenk Nursing Home in Wellman where He was 45 when he married Matilda Miller Gingerich, who was 44.
