Group Description

Our group is for animal lovers who want to help transport, pull from shelters, over-night/short-term foster, or help with other rescue functions.
You will not find another group like us!

The first thing that sets our group apart is that every transport we post to the group is also entered in a weekly Transport Database. This database is searchable by state/province, making it easy for transporters to identify needs in their area.

The next big difference with our group is that you will not be overwhelmed by hundreds of messy, irrelevant messages. This group is very strictly moderated. We weed-through each post so you don't have to. Each message we approve is formatted with a uniform subject line, which allows you to quickly see what kind of rescue help is needed & what areas are involved.

Those seeking help can, in addition to posting, search the databases. There, you can locate volunteers in the area(s) involved & find their contact information, rather than wait for a reply to a post or for volunteers to weed-through all the message boards. We have individual databases for each rescue function we support.

We also have a Do Not Adopt database, & very helpful "Links" & "Files" sections full of current information contributed by our wonderful members & moderators.

We require the completion of our Information for Membership form prior to membership approval. The form is sent automatically upon pending membership. If you do not receive one, or if you have problems with the form, please contact us at dogtransportvolunteers-owner@yahoogroups.com.

*Although he may not care how you drive, we strongly suggest that every animal be crated or tethered for their safety, and yours.
