Word! The best way to get unofficial English support for DoGA
is to get all hands-on with it and go up inside it to see what makes it tick
until you encounter a problem, and then ask us.
Between Todd and I and many other experienced DoGA/Metaseq users
in this Yahoogroup we'll be glad to help.

If you encounter any Windows 10 issues with DoGA, I'm afraid I'm out of luck
as I'm still running Win7, I haven't yet used Win10 but eventually I might have
to make that Windows upgrade soon; because it smells like Win7 support
just miiiiight end in a couple years or sooner depending on Win10's growing popularity.

When I make a part save via doga and export it to meta is there any command to delete the internal points and faces without cutting open the part? 

In Metaseq:
That's a tricky move. If those internal faces and vertices belong to a second object ("child")
that is NOT merged into the first object ("parent"), then you could select the child object listed
in the Object panel and delete it from the list and the child object itself will go "Bye Felicia".

If the child object is MERGED into its parent object, then the whole assembly of those parts
are One object. In that case, you must do the following...

Make sure the object is Unlocked in the Object panel, because you're
about to edit it...
1) In the top left of the workspace view, click the "Fc" (Faces) button to OFF so that
all you'll see in the work space is the "skeleton" (lines and points ONLY) of the object.

2) Click the (Fr" (Front Lines) button to ON so that everything about the object's back side
will become hidden from view.

When an object's back side is hidden from view, those backside lines and vertices
cannot be selected, edited, nor deleted unless you rotate the camera view
around the object.
So as long as the visible side of the object is facing the camera everything on that
visible side of the object can be selected, edited, and/or deleted.
This is a safety feature in Metaseq so that you can make internal modifications
to the object's interior without accidentally modifying or deleting any lines, faces
and vertices that you want to Keep.

3) Now with the Front Lines ONLY view ON, Go ahead with your mouse and
select whatever lines, vertices, or faces you wanna delete.
To delete two or more lines and faces all at once you must draw a square
or rope Selector around the vertices where those unwanted lines meet,
thus also deleting their attached faces.

This basic method is an easy way for me to delete unwanted lines, verts, and faces
from inside an object without having to cut the object open.

Another method is to select an area, and use the Select drop-menu command
"Separate Faces"... I've never used this command, for fear of separating the faces
of an entire object especially if the object has a high-poly count.

We can configure Metaseq to display most of the common commands in English,
while there are still many areas in the program's interface that weren't translated.

and as Todd stated, in Metaseq, there are Many menu items (and also descriptions)
in the Configuration panel that did not translate to English...

Even worse, the grayed descriptions (in Japanese) cannot be copied to the clipboard
and pasted into, say, Google Translate to get an English translation; because those
command descriptions only appear when you hover your mouse over a Settings item.

Other menu options, on the main interface, are also in Japanese; therefore it takes
hands-on experience/trial-n-error practice to get an idea of what certain functions are.

As for "Boolean", I haven't the slightest idea what is a Boolean. lol
And perhaps I'm using it often and not realizing that I'm working in Boolean methods
right under my nose! LOL

That's a tricky move. If those internal faces and
vertices belong to a second object ("child")

that is NOT merged into the first object
("parent"), then you could select the child object
listed

in the Object panel and delete it from the list and the
child object itself will go "Bye Felicia".



If the child object is MERGED into its parent object, then
the whole assembly of those parts

are One object. In that case, you must do the following...




Make sure the object is Unlocked in the Object panel,
because you're

about to edit it...

1) In the top left of the workspace view, click the
"Fc" (Faces) button to OFF so that

all you'll see in the work space is the
"skeleton" (lines and points ONLY) of the
object.



2) Click the (Fr" (Front Lines) button to ON so that
everything about the object's back side

will become hidden from view.



When an object's back side is hidden from view, those
backside lines and vertices

cannot be selected, edited, nor deleted unless you rotate
the camera view

around the object.

So as long as the visible side of the object is facing the
camera everything on that

visible side of the object can be selected, edited, and/or
deleted.

This is a safety feature in Metaseq so that you can make
internal modifications

to the object's interior without accidentally modifying
or deleting any lines, faces

and vertices that you want to Keep.



3) Now with the Front Lines ONLY view ON, Go ahead with your
mouse and

select whatever lines, vertices, or faces you wanna
delete.

To delete two or more lines and faces all at once you must
draw a square

or rope Selector around the vertices where those unwanted
lines meet,

thus also deleting their attached faces.



This basic method is an easy way for me to delete unwanted
lines, verts, and faces

from inside an object without having to cut the object
open.



Another method is to select an area, and use the Select
drop-menu command

"Separate Faces"... I've never used this
command, for fear of separating the faces

of an entire object especially if the object has a high-poly
count.

1.  Select using joined faces.

So how does one tweak how textures appear on vanilla parts when you port them to doga?

There is an app bundled with DoGA (objconv?) that will allow you to assign basic texture mapping; spherical, planar, etc.  There's a checkbox near the preview pane that will let you see what that looks like with a sample texture.

I got something odd for you guys, all the check boxes in doga are blacked out, any idea what might be causing it? 

So uh for some reason all my checkboxes are blacked out, it self corrected before (not sure what happened) but once again I have blacked out check boxes lol anyone ran into this?
