Doga 2008 Not seeing Files/Folders

    Recently went from using L3 2001 to L3 2008. Problem is 2008 isn t seeing the files or folders made in 2001. Any way to fix this?

      Are they installed in different locations?  You might have to copy the 2001 parts folder to a temp location, copy the 2008 parts folder over that, and then

        Are they installed in different locations?  You might have to copy the 2001 parts folder to a temp location, copy the 2008 parts folder over that, and then copy the merged folder back to your installed 2008 folder.  [Making backups as your level of paranoia is comfortable with.]

        They re actually installed in the same location... and it s more I do the search to do stuff like Edit Part and I can t see it. I try use custom part ,

          They're actually installed in the same location... and it's more I do the search to do stuff like "Edit Part" and I can't see it. I try "use custom part", can't see it. Can see stuff made using that version of L3 though, even though its installed in the same folder.

          Just curious, does your parts.ini file look something like this? I seem to recall that I had to edit mine back in the day to include both library styles.

            actually I just figured it out. The auto installer put it in the wrong location. I got it corrected now. Thank you though. :)

                Huh, I think something is borked with yahoo groups this morning. Any who, I have general folders like games, graphics, or tools and I install all my programs

                  Any who, I have general folders like games, graphics, or tools and I install all my programs in those folders.  It works for me, the whole 'let windows decide thing' is not my favorite solution.
