Much of the warpage is due to polymerization related shrinkage, pure monomer acrylate systems have 8-20+% depending on the composition with (in general) harder and more durable monomers being higher shrinkage.
As for the heated vat, most likely the reason for it is to use resins which have a higher percentage of oligomer in order to cut down on the shrinkage and improve other properties. In general oligomers are significantly higher viscosity than monomers with some being essentially solid at room temperature (you could push the blade of a screw driver an inch or two down and then break the handle off)
