      Dear Archival Colleagues,

Dr. László Pordány, the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary, has responded to the Association of Canadian Archivists' (ACA) letter concerning the Hungarian government’s decision to introduce legislation that would permit the removal and destruction of Hungarian communist secret police, interior ministry, and state security files currently held at the Historical Archives of the Hungarian State Security in Budapest.

To see copies of the Ambassador and the ACA's letter, please go to the Submissions & Letters webpage on the ACA website: http://www.archivists.ca/content/submissions-letters.
