      Subject: EMPRESS of IRELAND/ Convention

      Hello Mr. Lane,

I'd like to inform your organization of a coming convention concernng
the Empress of Ireland and the Empress of Britain #1.  On June 29 there will be a celebration
of the 100 years since the maiden voyage of the Empress of Ireland.  These two ships
brought over hundreds of thousands of passengers many of whom went on to settle
the West.  If any of your members are interested in attending I can provide more information
      and registration forms.

Below is a poster pertaining to the event.

      Thanks,

      Marion Kelch, Chairperson
