      Hi Everyone:

The following is an extract from this week's 17th Avenue FHC Newsletter.
It is printed here with permission from Judi Lee, Director.

      Ancestry.com update
For those researching in England, you will be pleased to note that
Ancestry.com is now indexing and uploading the original census images
for the 1871 and 1901 census records (in addition to the 1891 census
which is already complete). A list of the counties/places already on
      the site are as follows:

1871 - Channel Islands and Isle of Man (complete)
England - Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Cambridgeshire, Herefordshire,
      Huntingdonshire, London, Middlesex, Shropshire, Worcestershire,
      Yorkshire.

Wales - Anglesey, Caernarvonshire, Cardiganshire, Carmarthenshire,
      Merionethshire, Pembrokeshire.

1901 - Berkshire, Hampshire, Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex.

The images of the 1901 census are comparable to those that are on the
PRO website, and they are free with the Family History Centre's
subscription to Ancestry.com. Also, in some cases the indexing is more
      accurate than the PRO index.

This is very good news for English and Welsh researchers.

As Judi says, the 1891 census is complete but the 1871 and 1901 censuses
are in progress. These censuses will be completed in due course.

The only cost to patrons at the FHC is the $1 per hour fee for accessing
      the Internet.
