      Hi all:

Yesterday a question was raise as to why the Board did not consider using recycled tire rubber shingles.  I posed the question to Hugh Thorsten, Swan Roofing Consultants, and the following is his simple reply.  Too expensive - - no track record.

About 2.5 times the cost of the shingles you used. In addition they are not at a stage

where we are comfortable having a client install them.

      Hi there:

The letters re: assessment were delivered today.  Although the residents were asked not to contact the Board, but rather Acclaim, one just called me.  He told me that a friend of a friend said we should be using Euroshield rubber shingles. http://www.euroshieldroofing.com/?gclid=CM3s1_y586ECFSCjiQod2lMLoA.  I told him the Board had made a decision.  Amen.  I'm just curious.  We talked about concrete, metal and tile, but the subject of recycled rubber tires never came up.  Comments, SVP.
