Great news for Norfolk, England researchers.

The Pilot Site for Family Search has just  put online the images from their films for the Norfolk Church of England Parish Registers, 1538-1900

      http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=waypoint;s=waypointsOnly;c=1416598;w=0

There is no transcribed index of names but a list of the Parishes of Norfolk comes up on the left hand side for you to choose from and after you have chosen a parish , the events available allow you to chose from  Baptisms, Marriages, Burials and others.  A time periods then appears.   It is like bringing in a film from Salt Lake of your Norfolk parish.

This will be a great bonus used in conjunction with the FreeReg section on the Freebmd site.  Much of Norfolk has been transcribed there.

Some of you may have visited the Family Search Pilot site at  http://labs.familysearch.org   (Home page)
