      This is part of a a global strike/dance/rising for an end to violence against women

      1in 3 women around the world will be physically or sexually assaulted in their lifetime. Join, women, and men who support them, to rise globally to demand an end to violence towards women.

      February 14, 2013 3:00—7:00pm
      Join us at Director Park, 815 SW Park Ave at 3pm; followed by a march to Studio Nia, 918 SW Yamhill Street, for workshops, speakers dance activities and information tables from many local organizations.

      Radical Women is hosting one of the featured workshops:
      6:00-7:00 The Roots of Women's Oppression and How to End It!
      Discussion hosted by Emma Allen, Radical Women Organizer
      We're fighting for control over our bodies and how we lead our lives. Sexual Violence exists as an extension of control over women. Why does sexism still thrive in century? Have men, the church, and the State always dominated? How will the exploitation of women finally come to an end? Join a roundtable conversation that explores these questions by exploring the evolution of patriarchy and sexism.
