easy pal lite
- Hi David,
The encode options are for selecting one of the four levels of
Reed-Solomon error correction. To enable, the "Encode" box on the main
screen must be checked. When a picture is transmitted with Encode
checked, the transmitted file will include redundant data allowing the
image to be displayed even though not all the segments were received.
For an Encode level of Very Light, the increase in transmit time will be
16%. The resulting file will have the extension ".rs1". For an Encode
level of Light, the increase in transmit time will be 34%. The
resulting file will have the extension ".rs2". For an Encode level of
Medium, the increase in transmit time will be 62%. The resulting file
will have the extension ".rs3". For an Encode level of Heavy, the
increase in transmit time will be 100%. The resulting file will have
the extension ".rs4". Note that some program features do not work with
Encode checked such as Progressive Receive and Replay RX. Only stations
running a recent version of EasyPal Lite will be able to receive these
BSR's are sent using the "BSR" button.
